I’ve been an automotive journalist for nearly two decades, and I contribute (or have contributed to) several publications and productions including Automobile, Autobytel, Autotrader and their Oversteer sub-site, AutoGuide, AutoExpress (in the UK, no less!), Forbes.com, Edmunds, Autoweb, Consumer Reports, Motor Trend, Diesel World, Steet Trucks, VroomGirls, Top Gear USA, About.com, and a few others. I’m also on the North American Car and Truck of the Year jury.
My story, short version: I’m a native New Yorker, but I began my auto writing career as a student intern for What Car? Magazine in the UK. I’ve been in Los Angeles for, oh, about twenty years now. I’m a past President of the Motor Press Guild, and O currently serve on the Board of Directors and chairing the annual Droptops & Dirt event. I’m also a model train geek, and I do my geeking at the Pasadena Model Railroad Club. I have a wife, a couple of kids, an ever-changing number of pets, and a small collection of largely value-free cars, including a 1969 Dodge Polara, a 1983 GMC Suburban diesel, and a 1989 Honda CRX Si.
I have a non-car-related blog called Ambitiously Lazy Guy.
Should you feel so inclined, you can email me: aaron at aaron the autonerd. Don’t forget the dot-com part.
